Where Do Teachers Find Free Stuff?

One of the top google searches for education is related to finding free resources for teachers.

 

This is hardly surprising.

Teachers can spend up to 1 – 2 paychecks a year on supplies for their classrooms. That’s not what paychecks are for, generally speaking.

We here at ETED are passionate about many things, but the primary things are TEACHERS and FREE STUFF. Here’s what we can suggest for helping you keep your paycheck in your pocket:

If you are a teacher who works in a school with a high percentage of students enrolled in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), our parent organization, Kids In Need Foundation, is just for you. We can supply you with your own boxes of free supplies through our Supply A Teacher program or set you up with a “shopping spree” at one of our 40+ members of the National Network of Resource Centers.

Beyond this, the smart and wily internet monkeys at ETED scoured the internet for all of the free stuff for all types of teachers. And we put them all in one place because we’re handy like that:

Resource Library – Anything we share here has to have a free offering for teachers. Lesson plans, webinars, activities, games, worksheets, presentations, tools… We’ve sifted through these to find the best free options. Some sites only offer some things free, and that’s cool, too, but we try to warn you in the description. Free trial subscriptions that last less than a year were not included in our database, because who can remember to cancel those things, amirite? Our goal was FREE and USEFUL. Also, we’ve worked pretty hard to make the search function easy to use. Type in your grade level and your particular need and our internet monkeys are ON. IT.
